Announcement pursuant to Section 26 (1) of the Securities Trading Act

(Wertpapierhandelsgesetz – WpHG)

FMR LLC, Boston, Massachusetts, USA informed us that on November 24th, 2008 the percentage holding of the voting rights in SolarWorld AG, Bonn, Germany, fell below the threshold of 3 per cent and amounts to 2.23 per cent (2488651 voting shares).

According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 in connection with sent. 2 of the WpHG, all voting rights were attributed to FMR LLC.
