More performance guaranteed: With the new linear performance warranty*, SolarWorld is the first company in the world to chart a new course. SolarWorld AG, instead of offering warranties that end after 10 or 20 years like other manufacturers do, has set its sights on continuity for solar power modules purchased after 1/1/2011.
A minimum value is set for the output of the SolarWorld modules every year for a 25-year period. In addition, SolarWorld grants a 10-year extended product warranty for module functionality*.
Outstanding performance, flexible deployment
The solar modules from SolarWorld came out on top in 2008 and 2009 in a long-term test conducted by the magazine, Photon. In the test, they generated up to 12% more output than competitor products.
In addition to mono- and polycrystalline modules, SolarWorld AG also offers products for special areas of application. The Sunmodule Plus black, for instance, is impressive with its homogenous surface and elegant appearance. As a result of its narrow, compact design, the Sunmodule Plus Compact is more flexible in terms of setup configurations and can be flexibly deployed in every situation.
A weathering test conducted by the Swiss testing institute, SGS, confirmed the suitability of all solar modules for agricultural deployment where the solar power modules mounted on pens are often exposed to ammonia emissions. SolarWorld AG has added the SGS certificate to the existing quality seals for its modules such as, for example, from TÜV, VDE and UL.
Maximum reliability, maximum warranty
SolarWorld AG is the first solar company in the world to offer the linear performance warranty*. With this warranty, SolarWorld guarantees a maximum output reduction of no more than 0.7% annually over a 25-year period. That the modules can be recycled completes the quality concept.
Linear guarantee, more reliability
New standards for the market: The warranties of other manufacturers guarantee customers, for example, 90% of the lower rated power for the first 10 years and 80% starting in the 11th year. For SolarWorld modules, the actual output in the first year is at least 97% of the rated power and, starting in the second year, it does not fall below more than 0.7% annually. The basis for the performance warranty is the service certificate valid upon purchase.
How your benefit from the linear performance guarantee
The following applies to all SolarWorld modules installed on or after January 1, 2011:
- 10-year extended product workmanship warranty*,
- 25-year linear performance warranty* - guarantees at least 97% of the rated power in the first year and then a maximum performance reduction of 0.7% every year thereafter.
