Solar energy on the rise: SolarWorld presents complete systems at Intersolar India in Mumbai06-11-12
The Panindia Premium Partner Network supports the sales efforts of German brand manufacturers in the largest growth market in the Asia Pacific region.
Alongside large solar parks, the number of residential solar systems in India is increasing: SolarWorld is presenting complete systems designed for this purpose at the Intersolar show in Mumbai, one of the largest solar technology trade fairs in the world, from 6 to 8 November. The German brand manufacturer sells its kits via its Panindia Premium Partner sales network, which consists of certified installers, distributors, system integrators and premium contractors throughout the country. Together with residential systems, the company is also presenting its “Made in Germany” and “Made in USA” quality standard for large solar parks and off-grid applications.
According to Dr.-Ing. E.h. Frank Asbeck, CEO at SolarWorld AG, “India is one of the largest growth markets for solar energy worldwide. The conditions for clean solar power couldn’t be better, as a result of which the solar power sector will grow significantly here in the coming years. In addition to that, solar makes a decisive contribution to ensuring a reliable energy supply to the people in India.” Since the unstable power grid is above all a source of concern, SolarWorld is presenting a plug-and-play solution with integrated storage at the trade fair for the first time. The solar power system is suited in particular to private households, has a typical capacity of 1 kWp, and can be operated independently of the grid if power fails.
SolarWorld succeeded in entering the Indian market several years ago by engineering several large solar parks. One milestone was their participation in the largest prestige project in the country, in Gujarat. Here, the company has to date erected 20 MW of the solar project, which is designed to one day provide 700 MW. About half of it have been installed so far.
According to Max von Romatowski, Managing Director of SolarWorld Asia Pacific, “in India, the high quality of our solar modules is in great demand – not least due to the climatic conditions, which are frequently difficult. Also, customers approach us because they want the assurance of good technical planning and solid financing offers. In this way, we time and again succeed in winning good partners and developing good relations with our distributors.”
