SolarWorld among Dream Employers for Young Engineering Generation - Company Employs 25 per cent More People in First Half of 2009 than in the Same Period of the Previous Year


SolarWorld AG is among the ideal employers of the young German engineering generation. This is shown by the “trendence Absolventenbarometer 2009” study of the Berlin trendence institute published by the German business magazine “Manager Magazin” today. As a newcomer SolarWorld attained an outstanding 15th place in the “Engineering Edition”. For the total of four editions of the study some 25,000 students were interviewed at German universities who were just about to take their final examinations.

As the highest-placed newcomer in the Engineering Edition SolarWorld AG precisely corresponds –trendence institute points out – to the expectations that future engineers have with regard to their potential employers: a mixture of a fascinating future industry and high social responsibility.

SolarWorld pursues a sustainable development strategy, also for its employees – every new position is adjusted to the growth of the company in order to be able to offer all employees a long-term perspective. In the first half of 2009 there were more than 2,500 people working for SolarWorld worldwide. That was about 25 per cent more than in the same period of the previous year.
