The SolarWorld No. 1 solar racer sponsored by SolarWorld AG crossed the finishing line in third place in the American Solar Challenge 2010 and also received the "People’s Choice Award" for the most popular vehicle of the race. Since the year 2005 we have conferred the SolarWorld Einstein Award on personalities who acquired special merits in the use of solar energy – and thus for our “Planet Earth”. Additionally since 2006 scientific works in any specialist field around photovoltaic technology have been endowed with the SolarWorld Einstein Award for next generation researchers.
