Company history - 2013

2013 has been a year of enormous challenges for SolarWorld. One important challenge is restructuring the company’s financial liabilities. In August, SolarWorld reached a milestone when the noteholders and shareholders approved the company's restructuring concept and the associated measures.

2013 is also a difficult year for the operational business, since the industry-wide crisis continues almost unchanged. SolarWorld is suffering with almost every other manufacturer under the illegal trade practices of Chinese suppliers. In June and August, the European Commission clearly established that Chinese manufacturers have been engaging in dumping practices and illegal subsidies in China. The EU will rule on the trade complaints of European manufacturers by the beginning of December 2013.

In 2013, SolarWorld wants to convince customers more than ever with quality and innovation. Product innovations include the Sunmodule Protect glass-glass module and the SunPac 2.0 battery system.
